Mayo Nissen is a designer and strategist interested in the intersections and interplay between interaction design, service thinking, and the physical, and in developing strategies across and beyond these disciplines to leave the world in better shape than he found it. He’s lived on a boat and gone to school in a castle, as a young child spoke fluent Spanish and then forgot it all, studied design on a campus noted for its 60s brutalist architecture, and likes to have a choice between different shades of black.

Based in New York, he currently works at frog design, and was previously principal designer at Urbanscale and a consultant at ReD Associates. He is a graduate of the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, and has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from Brunel University in London.
