Modelmaking

This morning, I went to the dentist.

And this afternoon, I was in the workshop in the office, modelmaking.

The similarities were uncanny.

Teeth and STL parts are way too similar. They make the same sound when drilled and dremmeled, too. I murmered kind words to the STL parts as I grinded away. (they even had some unidentified two-part glue – which to my mind was epoxy, but presumably was something else -, dremel like tools with various grades of heads, and some putty like stuff not dissimilar to modelling clay.)

The whole setup was much better designed, though. Anyone know how much it would cost to buy a dentists chair and re-use it as a high tech modelling station?
