{"id":130,"date":"2007-12-02T18:10:44","date_gmt":"2007-12-02T17:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mayonissen.com\/index.php?p=130"},"modified":"2007-12-02T18:10:44","modified_gmt":"2007-12-02T17:10:44","slug":"then-and-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mayonissen.com\/blog\/?p=130","title":{"rendered":"Onwards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/dotx3\/1833577228\/\" title=\"Lecture Centre\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mayonissen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/lecture-centre.jpg\" alt=\"Lecture Centre\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since my last post, I&#8217;ve finished my internship in Germany, and am now back in London for the last year of my degree.<\/p>\n<p>Stuff I am working on right now:<\/p>\n<p>My major project: &#8220;Tethered Nomads&#8221; &#8211; What to do with all those cables that are now increasingly dragged along when travelling, but that don&#8217;t really have a home?<\/p>\n<p>A contextual design project on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\">The Guardian<\/a> (in brief: design a product concept for approx 10 years in the future for the Guardian brand)<\/p>\n<p>Other academic work: making the business case for the future of a manufacturer of car roof racks and trailers, designing sustainable packaging, and investigating the manufacture of a lightbulb. Well, someone has to do it!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.madeinbrunel.com\">Made in Brunel<\/a>, the final year degree show, is also already taking up a fair amount of time and energy. Pencil it in for early June, if you are around.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Somehow, time seems to be swiftly dissapearing, and I have no idea where it is gone\/going. Academic deadlines are rapidly approaching, and others loom, menacingly, in the (not so distant) distance.
