Text has been written and tweaked, photos retaken and uploaded, all neatly formatted and out there. And if you build it, they will come, right?

The project page is at www.mayonissen.com/work/citytickets, although the much catchier citytickets.dk will get you there, too.

The basic idea is simple: Using existing ticket machine infrastructure to print city tickets in addition to parking tickets, to create a very literal read/write urbanism. City tickets come in two forms: first, a short form, ready to be filled in with a local, non-urgent issue that needs fixing, or a suggestion for the way the immediate vicinity could be improved. Second, a hyperlocal todo list for the area, with estimated dates by which the listed issues will be resolved, recent fixes or improvements, and other local announcements.

Think of the first type as being an input mechanism for participatory urbanism, the second a way of creating/strengthening transparency and accountability at the local level.

I have also uploaded images of the project to a set on flickr.
