Mayo Nissen is a designer and strategist interested in the intersections and interplay between interaction design, service thinking, and the physical, and in developing strategies across and beyond these disciplines to leave the world in better shape than he found it. He’s lived on a boat and gone to school in a castle, as a young child spoke fluent Spanish and then forgot it all, studied design on a campus noted for its 60s brutalist architecture, and likes to have a choice between different shades of black.
He’s based in New York City. He is head of design at Reduct, and formerly led design in the NYC Mayor’s Office of the CTO and was a creative director at frog.
