EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

A new toy! I got a new lens today, a 100mm macro. I’ve only had it a day, which hardly warrants a review, but it’s been great fun so far. I’ve often felt constrained by my 50mm when trying to get close to things, and I’ve spent most of today wandering around my house and garden looking for things to take shots of. The light hasn’t been great (grey and overcast), but I’ve still been playing and exploring. Eyes and flowers have been joined by woodlice, screws, and flaking paint.

the wonderfully cliche eye shot. has to be done!
