The Globalized World in the 21st Century
How fitting was it that standing in line for the visa section of the Chinese embassy in London to get a visa for my (English) boss to go to visit the manufacturing company in eastern china that will make a product we are currently working on, I was reading ‘The World is Flat: The Globalized World in the Twenty-first Century’ – a book on the changing complexities of globalisation, outsourcing, collaboration and the evolving relationships between east and west, developed and under-developed countries, consumer and worker, and companies and nationstates.
